As extreme a move as it sounds, I can certainly understand it. Curious as to how that plan works out. (exams? grading? graduation ceremonies?). So many people are going through different levels of trauma.
Keep us updated as you learn more.

from what i understand, it will be handled on an individual basis, you will get the grade you have at this point in your class and if you were close to moving up then you will talk with your professor (whom i am very sure will be lenient) and then go from there

Sad indeed, honestly grades are the farthest thing from being important right now. They should just bump everybody up 5 points or so that trys and give the ones that dont their current grade. Most people improve their grade upon exams anyway.

Grades are still important and shouldn't just give anyone anything. The ones that are still there will be needing to get on with their lives and what good would come from giving them grades.
